One of the most powerful additions in Odoo 19 is the ability to run server actions based on AI prompts. You can automate field updates or content generation by describing what you want the system to do - powered by large language models like ChatGPT or Claude.
It’s a natural extension of Odoo’s automation engine, but now enriched with contextual, AI-driven logic.
AI fields in Odoo Studio
Odoo Studio now supports a new AI field type. These fields allow you to define prompts that generate text dynamically based on other record values. Whether you're summarising a task, creating a product description, or filling in support notes, AI fields can take care of repetitive text generation in a smarter way - all without leaving Studio.
AI-powered support chatbot
With Odoo 19, users will notice AI popping up in the interface. These new AI Agents act like built-in assistants, supporting users directly where they work, in:
- Chatter
- Email composer
- Other editable fields
They will offer contextual suggestions and support with writing or tasks, helping out in places where users already spend time.
Based on early previews, this feature could help resolve up to twice as many issues and reduce ticket volume by 40%. It’s a promising step toward faster, AI-driven support experiences inside Odoo.
