Just a few weeks away from Odoo Experience, Odoo has dropped some exciting news:
Version 19 Version 19 will introduce another brand-new app, Odoo Equity.
It’s the first time that equity management will appear inside Odoo. It will cover everything from shareholder registers to stock ownership and cap tables.
With this new app, Odoo is moving entity management into the same space as finance, HR, and sales.
Learn more below and find out how this new feature could support your company’s equity management.
Odoo Equity will redefine ownership management in ERP
Most businesses still manage equity through loose files and spreadsheets, or email threads.
As shareholder numbers grow or new funding rounds appear, the process becomes slow and error-prone.
This makes it difficult to maintain transparency where it’s critical, whether in shareholder ownership or valuation reporting.
Odoo Equity is set to close that gap by introducing equity management to ERP.
It will bring shareholder registers, stock ownership, cap tables, and valuations directly into the ERP suite.
All Odoo Equity features we know of so far
Based on first previews already visible in system demos, the Equity app will let users:
- See centralised ownership data in an Equity Dashboard, and create entries directly from there
- Create and manage Transactions like shares, sales, and insurance options
- Create Valuations by event types (transactions and audits)
- Add Authorised Representatives by company, person, and role
- See reports like Cap Tables and company valuation growth graphs.

In addition, Odoo’s team has revealed that Odoo Equity will enable users to:
- Track their individual equity shares and investment transactions
- Access the Equity app via a tab in the website portal
- Obtain full reporting on investment metrics like valuation, ownership, and more.
Who will benefit from the Odoo Equity app?
Odoo Equity is designed for companies where ownership management is crucial. Some of these cases are:
- Startups and scale-ups: These businesses go through frequent funding rounds and need to update cap tables constantly, and be able to easily record transactions and generate valuations
- SMEs with multiple shareholders: Even without venture capital, small and medium-sized enterprises need to keep ownership records structured and transparent
- Companies with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs): HR and finance teams can manage employee options in the same system where payroll and personnel data are already live
- Investors and shareholders: With portal access, they can see their equity position, past transactions, and valuation history at any time.
If your business has several shareholders, an ESOP in place, or investors to report to, Odoo Equity will provide the structure and transparency that spreadsheets can’t, all integrated in an ERP.
Odoo Equity and the outlook on Odoo 19
Odoo is expected to present Equity in detail at Odoo Experience 2025, where questions on scope and integration with other apps and AI will be addressed.
Though we can’t see the full picture yet, we know from these sneak peeks that Odoo Equity signals a major step.
It positions ownership management as a core function inside ERP software.
Thus, Odoo continues to bring areas once managed in isolation, like finance, HR, and now ownership, into one integrated system.
